Masala Rotti: Cooking Tips brings to you a simple and quick recipe of North Karnataka Masala Rotti / Rotti Muri. It is often prepared with leftover Jawar Rotti.

 

Ingredients:

1.      Oil

2.      Cumin seeds

3.      Curry leaves

4.      Onion (sliced)

5.      Tomato(chopped)

6.      Salt to taste

7.      Red chili powder

8.      Turmeric powder

9.      Jawar rotti

10.  Water

 

How to make Masala Rotti?

Instructions:

1. Heat oil in a Kadai and add in the spices. Saute for some seconds now add in the sliced onion and saute for few minutes. 

2. Once the onions are soft, add in the chopped tomatoes. Saute for some minutes.

3. Wait for few minutes let the tomatoes are cook well.

4. Now add salt and turmeric powder, red chili powder, and some masala.

5. Add some amount of water and mix well for few minutes.

6. Soak the Jawar Rotti in water for 5 minutes.

7. Now add in the soaked and drained rotti and saute for few minutes.

8. Now the Masala Rotti is ready to serve.
